90 First Dates was germinated out of one statement, "Mr. Roman, it feels like I have been on 90 First Dates over the past few years. What is the problem?"

That young man came to me for advice and I didn't know what to tell him. At that point, I decided to write a book based on the preferences of 21 men, giving a broad scope of interests and professions, who were rather successful in life.
